Yep, she predicted it

So I would like to fulfill Naminesfriend's prediction and complain about FFX.
THIS.
GAME.
SUCKS.
Sure, the graphics are pretty good. Actually, they're better than a lot of more modern games. And some of the music is ok. But the gameplay is just so, so awkward. It's really hard to tell where you can and cannot walk, and you can't jump, which is really annoying. I've gotten used to Kingdom Hearts, so I keep pressing the O button hoping something will happen and being disappointed when it doesn't.
The fighting is also really awkward. It's taking me some time to get used to how you have to select which opponent you're attacking- I used fire on one of my own guys by accident once, just because it was so awkward. Also, you can sometimes see your opponent's HP, but sometimes you really can't. GH.
Quite frankly, the whole plot is a bit weird. By which I mean really, really freaking nonsensical. So apparently you play as a star athlete, but you never get to play the game he's supposed to be great at (at least, I haven't gotten to yet. Disclaimer: I haven't gotten terribly far, I'm only in the second town.) Also, there's this giant whale monster thing that nobody can apparently defeat, but semi-slutty girl character's father apparently defeated. What? And apparently it can also manipulate time and space to destroy machines and people who use them, but it's also a curse for nonbelievers in the all-powerful god. Why can't this god save its people directly instead of making you fight zillions of silly monsters in preparation for (I assume) defeating the big bad whale monster?
The whole whale thing kind of reminds me of Moby Dick. Harpoon and all.
You play as a cocky manhole (oh ho ho) named Tidus (who I renamed Squirrel with an umlaut over the u, because that's how I roll). He starts off by being arrogant about his athletic success, then stomps all over another culture's religious beliefs to save a girl who didn't even need saving, and who he didn't know anyway. Then he just keeps being a jerk. Lovely.
That's all for now cause I've got to sleep, but rest assured that as I play this infernal game, I will have much more to rant about.
Such as the camera angles...
